In October, several students from Horace Good practiced a selection and submitted an a cappella recording as an audition to the Middle Level All-State Choir.  From 2,500 state-wide auditions, 180 were selected; our very own Lezette Cantaros and Damian Ortiz made the list!  For the last month, they have been coming in after school to work on 6 challenging pieces (which were required to be memorized). This past weekend we traveled to Wichita for the rehearsal and concert at the Kansas Music Educators Conference. Students attended an 8 hour rehearsal on Friday under the direction of Rollo Dilworth- a music educator, conductor, arranger/composer of over 150 published works, and professor at Temple University! The students presented an AMAZING concert on Friday evening- it is truly incredible to hear the students come together and create music!

Congratulations to our cheer leading team! They scored a II and won the Middle School Spirit Award at a cheer competition on Saturday! Special congratulations to Lily Sanchez for the highest GPA on the team!
